Founder & Lead Developer
I'm Jason Allen — an Electrical Engineering Technician student at Niagara College, simultaneously pursuing my Bachelor of Technology through Thompson Rivers University. I founded Orbital Systems to bridge the gap between engineering precision and modern web technology, bringing a builder's mindset to every project.
With over six years running OrbitPOS Ltd. — a SaaS startup serving the food service industry — I've worn every hat from front-end development and product design (React, Next.js, Vue, Figma) to B2B sales, onboarding, and day-to-day operations. Before that, I managed retail teams, supervised warehouse logistics for a fleet of fifty drivers, and oversaw financial compliance for 800+ election workers across multiple federal and provincial elections.
I hold Google Professional Certificates in Project Management and IT Support (with Python), along with certifications in Agile methodology, Jira, and Scrum (PSM I). After graduation, I plan to earn my C.E.T. designation and PMP certification — combining technical engineering credentials with proven project leadership.
That background in electrical engineering, software development, operations management, and structured project delivery is what Orbital Systems is built on. Whether it's drafting AutoCAD electrical blueprints, building a full-stack web application, or running a data-driven marketing campaign — I bring the same disciplined, detail-oriented approach to every engagement.
